How to Compute your New Tax Due
Those who have recently received their NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT will see the new ASSESSED VALUE of your property, based on the updated Fair Market Value.
To compute your ANNUAL REAL PROPERTY TAX DUE in 2017, the formula is, as follows:
NEW ASSESSED VALUE X TAX RATE* =
ANNUAL REAL PROPERTY TAX DUE
*(the tax rate is 2.5% if your property is classified as residential, and 3% if commercial)
To avail yourself of the 20% discount, pay your annual tax before March 31, 2017.
