Mayor Herbert M Bautista inaugurated today, May 9, 2018, the new 6-storey Building Regulatory Office (BRO) inside the Quezon City Hall compound.  For greater public service convenience, the building integrates in one location, the departments related to the issuance of construction permits and occupancy permits.  It is part of the ‘ease of doing business’ reforms of the city government.

It is the permanent home of the local government’s Construction Permits One-stop Shop, where all applications for building permits can now be received at the ground floor of BRO.  New applications for locational clearance related to new building construction will also be received at the One Stop Shop ground floor receiving area, as part of the streamlined application process for construction permits.

The Department of Building Official frontlines BRO services, but the building also houses the City Planning and Development Office at the 4th floor.  The CPDO is the Zoning Administrator of the city.  Applications for renewal of locational clearances should be filed at the 4th floor of BRO.

Occupying the 6th floor is the Environmental Protection and Waste Management Department which issues the local environmental clearance for projects.
