|Quezon City Opens Modern Public Library|
Mayor Herbert Bautista led Quezon City officials in the inauguration and blessing of the new QC Public Library. The more spacious library was designed in line with the mayor’s vision of a modern library, conducive to information enrichment and learning. Designed to harmonize with its natural environment, it is ensconced within the lush trees at the City Hall compound. Easily accessible from Kalayaan Ave. and designed to make reading and research enjoyable, comfortable experiences.
The two-storey structure with roof deck features an expansive kid’s corner, a multimedia room and braille room, a 50-person capacity conference room, dedicated law section, puppet play area and café --- all designed to make reading and research enjoyable, comfortable experiences. The facility has free wifi, and continues with its program to help anyone, young or old, learn to tap the benefits of the internet.
The Mayor said, “In this library, knowledge shall be created not only for a few selected ones, but for every citizen of the city who is worthy of such privilege.”
The Quezon City Public Library is open to the public Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (except during school vacation)
