QC Launches Community Resiliency Caravan Print
The Quezon City Government launched the “Community Resilience Caravan” during the flag-raising  ceremony at the Quezon City Legislative Walk this Monday morning.  The Community Resilience Caravan is an initiative of QC’s Moving Up Poor Communities Towards Resilience (MOVE-UP) with its partners - Action Against Hunger Philippines, Plan International Philippines, CARE Philippines and Assistance and Cooperation for Community Resilience and Development (ACCORD).
resiliencycaravan02The 3 day Community Resilience Caravan (July 31 – August 2)aims to facilitate strategies that will develop resilient urban poor communities via sustainable livelihood and other income generating community-based projects that may provide additional resources in the face of high risk exposure of urban poor communities to hazards and natural disasters.  The caravan will feature a showcase of community-based livelihood projects which was previously supported by the poverty-reduction program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The Resilience Caravan also includes parallel events, showcasing QC’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management services, PESO Job Fair, Livelihood Demo, Micro-insurance services and Social Protection Agencies such as GSIS, SSS, Philhealth, and Pagibig Fund.scroll back to top
