QC Barangays’ Best Practices Highlighted in QCSGH Awards on 22nd QC Barangay Day PDF Print E-mail

The Quezon City Local Government in cooperation with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) held the Award’s Night for the QC Seal of Good Housekeeping (QCSGH) in line with the celebration of the 22nd Quezon City Barangay Day last September 21, 2017 at Novotel, Quezon City.

Criteria’s of the QCSGH search are full compliance with the barangays full disclosure policy on the local budget and finances, posting of bids and public offering in three conspicuous places as well as the localized full disclosure policy portal, at least 8 percent average rating in DILG Barangay Governance Performance Management System (BGPMS), at least 80 percent average rating in QC Barangay Legislative Services Assessment; compliance to Republic Act No. 9485 or the Anti-Red tape Act, and the opinion rendered by the Commission on Audit (COA) regarding the barangay financial statements for the immediately preceding year. This program aims to encourage the city’s barangays to aspire for excellence and the practice of good government.

The awards are given to the most outstanding barangays in Quezon City that showcased their excellence in good governance and for achieving the best practices in control at the grassroots levels.
