The Quezon City Government, through the City Council, has submitted its list of priority programs to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), as part of the city’s development investment program and annual investment program.

The priority programs were classified into three major areas: disaster risk reduction and climate-change adaptation, social services and health with a total amount of Php 55 million, as specified under Resolution No. 7034, series of 2017.

At least Php 65 million were allocated by DBM to local government units (LGUs) in its Local Government Support Funds-Financial Assistance, which will be used to fund the identified programs.

The City Government plans to provide major assistance to indigent individuals and families that includes medical, burial, transportation, food, cash for work and educational assistance, amounting to P41.102 million.

About P22.898 million will be allocated to disaster response and mitigation, specifically for the purchase of rescue and special purpose vehicles, while health assistance amounting to at least Php 1 million will be set aside for indigent patients of the Quezon City General Hospital and Novaliches District Hospital.

The priority projects will be implemented through the office of Mayor Herbert Bautista. scroll back to top
