Locational Clearance for New Businesses

 

A Locational Clearance is an approval document issued by City Planning and Development Office that serves as your pre-requisite document in issuance of Business Permit to guarantee the structure’s compliance with the Quezon City’s Comprehensive Land Use and Zoning Ordinance.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW APPLICANTS

  1. Contract of lease (if business location is leased)
    Transfer certificate of title (if business location is owned by the applicant)
    Or other arrangements for the use of the property, such as Memorandum of Agreement, formal consent of the owner for the applicant to use the property as business location
  2. Location plan/ subdivision plan/ sketch showing exact position and area occupied by business being applied for
  3. Photos of frontage and interiors of the business

The applicant must also bring his/her identification card. If the one filing the application is not the business owner, then he/ she must bring an authorization letter from the owner.

Additional document requirement: If the location is inside a subdivision or a predominantly residential area: signed certificate of “no objection from Homeowner’s Association or Neighbor’s Consent is required.

 

PROCESS IN SECURING LOCATIONAL CLEARANCE FOR NEW BUSINESS

  1. Submit your accomplished form and requirements to Receiving Area of Zoning Administrator at 10th floor City Planning Department Office. Receive your application control number.
  2. After 5 days, if your application is compliant, your application will be scheduled for site inspection for permissibility of the project.

If your application is non-compliant, after submission you application is returned to you for compliance together with the list of documents you need to attach.

  1. After evaluation, pay at the Treasurer’s Office. Photocopy your official receipt.
  2. Claim your Locational Clearance at Zoning Office.
