Nakamit ng Quezon City ang prestihiyosong 2025 Presidential Award for Most Child-Friendly City sa ilalim ng Highly-Urbanized Cities Category.

Malugod na tinanggap ni Mayor Joy Belmonte ang parangal, kasama sina Social Services Development Department OIC Ma. Lorelei Salvador, City Planning and Development Department head Jed Gomez, Public Affairs and Information Services Department head Engelbert Apostol, Education Affairs Unit head Maricris Veloso, mga miyembro ng Local Council for the Protection of Children ng lungsod, at child representatives na sina Janiyan Redota at Angelo Alejo.

Nakiisa rin ang mga punong barangay na sina Bgy. Culiat Chairperson Ma. Crisitina Bernardino, Bgy. Project 6 Chairperson Ma. Cecilia Agcaoili, Bgy. Siena Chairperson Emmalyn Star Untalan, Bgy. Escopa II Chairperson Eduardo Zabala, at Bgy. Damayang Lagi Chairperson Ailene Ledesma.

Dumaan sa masusing validation ang mga programa ng Quezon City mula sa mga kinatawan ng Council for the Welfare of Children, Department of the Interior and Local Government, at Department of Labor and Employment bago nakalusot bilang national finalist at presidential awardee.

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na natanggap ng lungsod ang nasabing parangal.
