Task Force Sampaguita – Oplan Pag-abot

Ligtas at maayos na naiturn-over sa pangangalaga ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang 111 na kataong naninirahan sa lansangan, kabilang ang 18 na bata o mga Children in Street Situation (CISS).

Nagsanib-pwersa ang DSWD Pag-abot Program, Caloocan LGU, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine National Police – NCRPO, at ang buong Quezon City Task Force Sampaguita sa isang reach-out operation sa dalawang areas of concern sa District 1.

Dalawa (2) lamang sa mga nailigtas ang residente ng lungsod. Ang mga indibidwal ay inirehistro sa Pag-abot ID upang magkaroon ng pagkakilanlan.

Lahat ay binigyan ng paunang tulong gaya ng pagkain at tulong medikal habang inaalam ang kanilang pamilyang uuwian at iba pang karagdagang tulong na nararapat sa kanila.

Sumunod ang operasyon sa rights-based approach na tumitiyak na iginagalang ang mga karapatang pantao ng mga indibidwal.

Pinangunahan ang operasyon nina PESO Head Rogelio L. Reyes, Ms. Jen Casañas ng DSWD Pag-abot Program, at mga social welfare officer ng Social Services Development Department.

Kasama rin sa operasyon ang Barangay Balingasa at iba-ibang departamento ng pamahalaang lungsod tulad ng Quezon City Police District, City Health Department, Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Traffic and Transport Management Department, Public Employment Service Office, QC Bangsamoro Affairs Office, Department of Public Order and Safety, Barangay and Community Relations Department, City Veterinary Department, Department of Sanitation Quezon City, General Services Department, Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council, City Legal Department, at Task Force Disiplina.

Nananawagan naman ang Task Force Sampaguita sa mga QCitizen na huwag mag-abot ng pera sa mga nanlilimos, kabilang na sa mga Indigenous People (IPs), alinsunod sa Presidential Decree No. 1563 o Anti-Mendicancy Law.

Hinihikayat ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga barangay o lokal na pamahalaan upang mas matulungan sila sa ligtas at tamang paraan.
