Declogging Operations by QC Engineering Department

Bilang pagtugon at paghahanda sa bagyo at matinding pag-ulan, ang Quezon City Government, sa pangunguna ng Department of Engineering, ay patuloy na nagsasagawa ng mga declogging operations upang mabawasan ang pagbaha sa mga komunidad. Hanggang kahapon, 19 declogging activities na ang naisagawa, na nagbalik ng 528 cubic meters sa kabuuang drainage capacity ng lungsod.

Kabilang sa mga lugar na na-declog ang West Riverside Street sa Barangay Damayan, District 1; Brookside HOA sa Barangay Bagong Silangan, District 2; mga flood-prone na kalsada sa Barangay Amihan, Bagumbuhay, Escopa III, Villa Maria Clara, at White Plains, District 3; Main Avenue sa Barangay Bagong Lipunan ng Crame at Arayat Street sa Barangay San Martin De Porres, District 4; mga flood-prone na kalsada sa Barangay Gulod, North Fairview, Sta. Lucia, at Sta. Monica, District 5; at Gajudo Compound, Lorraine Street, at Antoinette Street sa Barangay Apolonio Samson, District 6.

Ang tuloy-tuloy na de-clogging operations na ito ay mahalaga upang mabawasan ang pagbaha, lalo na sa mga flood-prone areas. Sa pag-aalis ng mga bara sa drainage, mas mabilis ang daloy ng tubig-ulan. Patuloy pa rin ang Quezon City Government sa pagsasagawa ng declogging activities sa iba’t ibang lugar upang masiguro ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng mga QCitizens sa harap ng mga dumarating na bagyo.
