Declogging Operations by QC Engineering Department

Bilang paghahanda sa Super Typhoon “Pepito”, tuloy-tuloy ang pagpapaigting ng Quezon City Government, sa pangunguna ng Department of Engineering, ng declogging at dredging operations para maiwasan ang posibleng epekto ng malalakas na ulan at pagbaha.

Nagsagawa ang Department of Engineering ng 17 bagong declogging at dredging activities, kung saan naibalik ang 823 cubic meters ng drainage volume at creek capacity.

Sa kabuuan, umabot na sa 64 ang isinagawang operasyon, at naibalik ang 2,244 cubic meters na kapasidad ng drainage at creek systems sa Quezon City.

Kabilang sa mga na-declog at na-dredge ang Sto. Domingo Avenue sa Barangay Manresa, District 1; Sapphire Street at Calamiong Creek sa Barangay Payatas, District 2; Evangelista Street sa Barangay Bagumbuhay, Bignay Street sa Barangay Quirino 2B, 20th Street at Don Jose Street sa Barangay San Roque, District 3; Bagong Buhay Street, Batanes Street, Sanciangco Street, Tomas Pin Pin Street sa Barangay Sto. Niño, District 4; Molave Street, Narra Street, Yakal Street Sapamanai sa Barangay Fairview, District 5; at sa Cypress Village at Gajudo Compound sa Barangay Apolonio Samson, District 6.

Ang mga declogging at dredging operations ay pangunahing bahagi ng mga preparatory measures upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga QCitizens, pati na rin ang mabilis na pagdaloy ng tubig sa mga pangunahing drainage at creek systems ng lungsod.
