The Quezon City Local Government through the QC Department of Engineering has launched their Skilled Workers TESDA Certification Program which aims to formally acknowledge and strengthen workers’ skills in construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of city infrastructure. 

Under the program, the workers undergo a pre-assessment skills training for the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC 1 and NC II through Quezon City Training and Assessment Centers (QCTAC) with the support of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). 

The skilled workers will also be given actual training and assistance in securing their National Certification from TESDA which will help the thirty-nine (39) participants to gain more opportunities and be successful in their respective fields.
