The Quezon City local government has inoculated more than 1.7 million individuals with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of August 31, the QCProtekTodo Vaccination Program has inoculated 1,701,211 individuals exceeding its target of 1.7 million individuals or 80% of its adult population to achieve population protection.

Meanwhile, 750,419 individuals (46.72%) were vaccinated with their second doses which brings the total number of fully vaccinated individuals, including Janssen-vaccinated individuals, to 844,149.

In total, the city government has administered 2,451,630 vaccine doses from March to August 2021.

Mayor Joy Belmonte appreciates the active participation of QC residents and workers in the city’s inoculation program.

“I am proud that our QC residents and workers are one with us to achieve population protection. We thank them for their patience and cooperation throughout the entire vaccination process,” Mayor Belmonte said.

The city’s vaccination program aggressively expanded throughout the previous months to ensure that all eligible members of the A1-A5 priority groups will have access to the vaccines.

QC Task Force Vax to Normal Co-chair Joseph Juico assured QCitizens that the city government will continue vaccinating individuals despite reaching the 1.7 million first doses.

“Aside from ensuring the remaining second dose inoculations, our vaccination sites will remain operational to vaccinate all eligible residents as long as we receive vaccine supplies from our procurement and the national government,” Juico said.

Belmonte also commended the Quezon City vaccination team composed of health workers, local government and barangay staff, volunteers, and active vaccination partners such as malls, homeowners’ associations, businesses, churches, universities, among others.

“Without the dedication of our whole vaccination team and our partners, we would not have achieved this number in so little time considering the number of individuals that we are targeting. For their invaluable support, we are truly grateful on behalf of our QCitizens,” Belmonte said.

QCitizens may register through their barangay offices, QCVaxEasy (qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy), and through company-assisted registrations.

Likewise, the city government continues to remind residents and workers to practice minimum health and safety protocols even after receiving their vaccine shots.
