Alinsunod sa Proclamation No. 115-A S. 1966, na nilagdaan ni yumaong Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos, ipinagdiriwang ngayong Setyembre ang Health, Safety, and Sanitation Month.

Layon nitong isulong at palawakin ang kamalayan ng bawat isa ukol sa kahalagahan ng pag-iingat sa pamamagitan ng pagsasaalang-alang sa ating kalusugan, at kalinisan, at pagiging mapagmatyag sa ating paligid upang makaiwas sa mga sakuna.
