Mayor Joy Belmonte, on Monday, has met with C40 Cities Chairperson and London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Indian gender activist and Red Dot Foundation CEO ElsaMarie D’ Silva to discuss possible collaboration.
Khan commended Mayor Belmonte for her initiatives to attain Quezon City’s climate goals and ambitions.
On the other hand, Mayor Belmonte discussed with Silva other potential partnerships and ways forward with Red Dot, who also developed the “Safecity” app that track reports of sexual violence and harrassment. The Safecity app is being rolled out in Barangay UP Campus.
Mayor Belmonte, Coun. Joseph Juico, and Climate Change and Environmental Sustanainability Department (CCESD) Head Andrea Villaroman are attending the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit (UNCAS) in New York, United States.
