Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay was created on January 9, 1969 through an ordinance of the Quezon City Council No. 61-4621.  It is bounded on the North by Ilocos St. and south boundary line of Brgy. Alicia.  East by Samar St., Nueva Ecija St. and SM Annex.  West by Samar St. up to the boundary line of Brgy. Sto. Cristo and South by EDSA up to the boundary line of Brgy. Bahay Toro.  It has a total land area of 34.145.8 hectares.
Brgy. Ramon Magsaysay stands as a booming community which sets an impressive example to other barangays.  Where once it was an outpost used by Andres Bonifacio during the 1896 Philippine Revolution, now it is a modernizing barangay.  Where once it was a troubled resettlement area and gangland of vices and street fighting, it has become a community of peace where the church, government, residents and non-government organizations work as one.
