In the distant past, Barangay St. Peter was a rice field and classified as agricultural land.  At that time, the place was inhabited by only 2 families, and while their houses were very far apart they still called themselves neighbors.   When people grew in number, they constructed a make-shift chapel where they could honor God and practice their Catholic faith.  Pedro Medalla, who was a prominent resident of the community, donated the image of St. Peter to the chapel.  The Barangay was named after the saint during the time that the government was establishing different barangays in the countr

The household population of Barangay St. Peter in the 2015 Census was 4,539, broken down into 969 households or an average of 4.68 members per household.
