Shield against Child Labor Educational Assistance

Sa pagtutulungan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at ng Public Employment Service Office (PESO) ginanap ang awarding ng SHIELD against Child Labor Educational Assistance sa limampung (50) batang manggagawa ng lungsod.

Isa lamang ang educational assistance sa mga tulong na maaaring maibigay sa mga profiled child laborers.

Pinaalalahanan ang mga magulang na pagtuunan ng pansin ang pag-aaral ng mga bata upang hindi na muli sila masangkot sa anumang hazardous work.

Pinangunahan ni Ms. Maricris S. Laureta ng Special Projects Division at Ma. Cecilla L. Golloso ng DSWD-NCR ang maikling programa.

Nagbigay rin ng paalala ang mga kawani ng DSWD na ang natanggap na assistance ay para sa pag-aaral ng mga bata at upang mabawasan ang bigat sa kanilang pang araw-araw na gastusin.

Sa huli, pumirma ang mga magulang ng Kasunduan na hindi na pababalikin ang kanilang mga anak sa kalsada upang magtrabaho. Kasama sa napagkasunduan ang patuloy na pakikipag-tulungan ng mga magulang sa Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP).

Malugod na nagpapasalamat ang PESO sa DSWD para sa kanilang suporta sa Zero Child Labor campaign ng lungsod.
