Following the shift to a more relaxed Alert Level 2 starting Feb. 1, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte reminded business establishments not to let their guard down when it comes to enforcing minimum health protocols.
“Maaaring nasa Alert Level 2 na tayo ngunit naririyan pa rin ang Omicron variant ng COVID-19 at nananatili itong banta sa ating lahat. Kaya dapat manatili pa rin tayong mapagbantay at ipagpatuloy ang mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng health protocols,” said Belmonte.
Belmonte on Monday issued the latest guidelines after the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved the return of the National Capital Region to Alert Level 2 starting Feb. 1.
Based on the latest guidelines, Belmonte retained the implementation of disciplinary hours for minors under Ordinance No. SP-2301 s. 2014, prohibiting them from loitering in public places from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Belmonte also discouraged the holding of gatherings for no specific purpose and gatherings in residences with individuals not belonging to the same household.
“When it comes to non-fully vaccinated adults, they are now allowed to engage in outdoor activities, use public transportation and enter indoor establishments to obtain essential goods and services,” said Belmonte.
On the other hand, fully-vaccinated adults, and minors regardless of vaccination status, may enter establishments for essential or non-essential reasons such as dining, shopping, and watching movies.
Also, restaurants and other food establishments, as well as personal services establishments like salons and barbershops may provide services at up to 70 percent capacity indoors for fully-vaccinated adults, and minors regardless of vaccination status.
“They can also accommodate up to 90 percent capacity outdoors regardless of age or vaccination status,” she said, adding employees of these establishments must be fully vaccinated.
Similarly, religious gatherings are allowed for fully vaccinated adults, and for minors regardless of their vaccination status, for up to 70 percent capacity indoors and 90 percent capacity outdoors for all persons regardless of age or vaccination status.
