Barangay Damayang Lagi was created on June 25, 1975 by then President Ferdinand Marcos with Mayor Adelina S. Rodriguez. It was given its name because of the kindness and generosity of the residents who always helped each other.
Barangay Damayang Lagi has an estimated land area of about 42.38 hectares with boundaries of E. Rodriguez Sr. Blvd. on the North, Victoria Avenue on the East, San Juan River on the West, and Salapan Creek on the South.
