Nayong Kanluran has an area of 12 hectares with its boundaries on the North by Del Monte Avenue, on the South of Tangue Creek, on the West by Mariblo Creek, and on the East by West Avenue.
The PHHC created the subdivision specifically for newspapermen but in the course of time, lots were resold to others. During the implementation of the Local Government Code in 1991 the West Avenue Homes was renamed Barangay Nayong Kanluran based on its location in the west of Quezon City.
