During the 1930’s, what would become Barangay Pansol was sparsely populated, with farming, poultry ,and piggery as its sources of income. The earliest migrants were from Montalban, Rizal during and after the Second World War. The population increased with the establishment of the University of the Philippines, the development of La Vista subdivision, and the influx of workers of the Metropolitan Water District providing more job opportunities.
After the passage of the Barrio Charter Law, Benjamin Antonio was elected Barrio Lieutenant with four councilors, including Prudencio Abejar, Lope Avendaño, Casimiro Baytamo, and Vic Pineda. Presidential Decress No. 86 (January 5, 1973) and No. 557 (September 21, 1974) transformed Pansol from a civic to a legal barrio.
Social classes in Barangay Pansol range from the affluent to the poor. Religion is mostly Roman Catholic with Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) running second as well as a sprinkling of other religions and sects.
