Nakiisa ang Quezon City Government sa focus group and panel discussion (FGD) na tumalakay sa mga polisiya at programa ng national at local government sa pagtugon sa mga kalamidad dulot ng pabago-bagong klima sa University of the Philippines Diliman, mula January 25 hanggang 26.

Quezon City ang pilot city ng pag-aaral na dinaluhan ng mga kinatawan at mag-aaral mula sa iba-ibang pamantasan at unibersidad ng Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, at Pilipinas. Layon nitong alamin ang mga policy practice gap sa climate action at pag-aralan kung paano ito masosolusyunan.

Ibinahagi nina QC Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD) Head Andrea Villaroman, Parks Development and Administration Department (PDAD) Chief Arch. Nancy Esguerra, at mga kinatawan ng City Planning and Development Department (CPDO), at QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO) ang mga inisyatibo ng lungsod sa climate change at kung paano ito ibinababa sa mga komunidad.

Ang “Research Project: Are City Plans Adequate for Mitigating Weather Extremes? An Investigation of Southeast Asian Cities” ay pag-aaral na isinagawa ng Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA) katuwang ang UP SURP, PLANADES, Australian Government, Curtin University Australia, Murdoch University Australia, Asian Institute of Technology Thailand, National Research and Innovation Agency Indonesia, at University of Technology Malaysia.
