Although STS Florita slightly weakened in intensity, due to land interaction in Northern Luzon, Quezon City will still likely experience light to moderate and occasional heavy rains within the next 12 hours, largely associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

Based on observed rainfall as of 7:35PM, Quezon City has accumulated 97.0mm over the last 19 hours. An estimate of more than 30mm of rainfall is expected to continue for the next 12 hours.

For this reason, flooding is expected, and the QCDRRMO recommends suspension of classes in all levels in both Private and Public schools tomorrow, August 24, 2022.
