Bumisita kay Mayor Joy Belmonte si Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Philippines H.E. Jalal Sabir Mirzayev ngayong araw.
Inimbitahan si Mayor Joy upang maging parte ng ‘International Advisor Committee’ sa gaganaping Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29). Ang alkalde lamang ang nag-iisang local official mula sa Southeast Asia na kabilang dito.
Tinalakay din nila ang mga proyekto ng lungsod upang masolusyunan ang environmental issues at climate change na nakakaapekto sa mga residente.
Dumalo rin dito sina Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD) head Andrea Villaroman, Tourism Department OIC Tetta Terona, CCESD Education Division Chief Kristine Lea Siy-Gaon, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Counsellor Leyla Atayeva, at Department of Foreign Affairs Office of United Nations and International Organizations Acting Director Danna Olaya.
