Declogging Activities

Ang Quezon City Government, sa pangunguna ng Department of Engineering, ay mas pinaigting ang mga de-clogging at dredging operations bilang bahagi ng paghahanda para sa Super Typhoon “Pepito,” lalo na matapos ang sunud-sunod na bagyong tumama sa bansa.

Sa karagdagang 15 de-clogging at dredging activities, naibalik ang 363 cubic meters ng drainage volume at creek capacity. Sa kabuuan, umabot na sa 47 ang naisagawang operasyon, na nagresulta sa kabuuang 1,421 cubic meters ng naibalik na kapasidad ng mga drainage at creek systems.

Kabilang sa mga bagong lugar na na-declog at na-dredge ang Calamba Street sa Barangay Salvacion, District 1; AFP Road, Airforce Road, at Dalton Pass sa Barangay Holy Spirit, District 2; K-7th Street at K-J Street sa Barangay East Kamias, at Langka Street at Tampoy Street sa Barangay Quirino 2B, District 3; Manungal Street cor Victory Street at Tagupo Street cor G. Araneta Avenue sa Barangay Tatalon, District 4; dredging sa creek ng Perugia Street, St. Francis Subdivision sa Barangay San Bartolome, at A. Bonifacio Street at Sta. Marcela Street sa Barangay Sta. Lucia, District 5; at Cypress Village at Gajudo Compound sa Barangay Apolonio Samson, District 6.

Sa harap ng mga sunud-sunod na bagyo, patuloy na kumikilos ang lungsod upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng mga QCitizens. Ang de-clogging operations ay isang mahalagang hakbang upang mapalakas ang kahandaan ng Quezon City laban sa epekto ng malalakas na ulan at pagbaha.
