Description

Acts on the appeals of a real property owner who is not satisfied with the action of the City Assessor in the assessment of his property.

Mission
To warrant the observance of the due process of law in an impartial, just, and equitable real property tax assessment and collection.

Legal Basis

• Section 230, Chapter 3, Title Two, Book II, Republic Act No. 7160 entitled “An Act Providing for a Local Government Code of 1991”

Service Pledge

We commit:

To Provide assistance to the “Petitioner-Appellant” in filing their appeal and in the submission of all their other pertinent documents in support of their claim for refund or credit of taxes paid under protest.

To promote prompt service delivery process in the exercise of its appellate jurisdiction.

The Board shall render its decision based on substantial evidence or on relevant evidence on record in compliance with the due process of law.

SERVICES

Appeal for Reassessment of RPT collection and other special levies

1. Submit the appeal on assessment form (and all other required attachments needed for the appeal). The appeal shall be filed in five legible copies which must be under oath in prescribed form with tax declaration and other supporting documents, if any, and must be notarized.
2. Advises the City Assessor and City Treasurer to submit comments.
3. Schedules appeals for Board hearing. Prepares service of Notices to parties. 
4. Promulgates Decision.
5. Notifies Parties re: Decision
