Description
PAISD is mandated to keep the constituents of Quezon City well informed about the City government’s plans and programs, to inspire their support for and participation in those plans and programs, and to assist in the information dissemination components of the city government’s programs and projects.
Mission
To provide right and just information that will guide residents in making well-informed decisions.
Vision
To have a well-informed citizenry who are empowered to make fact-based, data-driven decisions in pursuit of an improved quality of life and thereby contribute to nation-building.
Legal Basis
In 1976, Mayor Amoranto issued Executive Order 21 creating the Public Affairs and Assistance Office, presently known as Public Affairs and Information Services Department (PAISD).
Service Pledge:
Primary source of credible, relevant, and accurate information about the city government’s affairs
Advocate the city government’s official position on issues and concerns
Implement programs that educate and enlighten the citizenry on matters of national importance and deepen their civic engagement
Serve as the primary driver of consciousness-raising, constituency-building, and social mobilization in support of the policies, plans, programs, and projects of the city government
Deliver quality service to the people.
Services
Coverage, Photos, Video Clips, Newspaper Clippings, Newsletter Materials, IEC Materials, Broadcast Monitoring, Social Media Posting, and Web Posting.
Coverage is given to events, programs, and projects that the city government wants to amplify. Subsequently, these are posted on our official social media accounts and website to be picked up by various forms of media—television, newspaper, and radio.
Request for Service Referrals
Public/client to provide further details regarding the attending circumstances pertinent to his/her concern such as, but not limited to, the city government’s projects and services. If the issue requires further referral to other offices/departments, endorse the complaint to the offices/departments for the appropriate action which can best address the concern.
Complaints
Feedback and complaints are welcome as it will help us improve the city’s services. Citizens, institutions, and other clients may contact the department and provide us with complete details and the recommended outcome or action.
Live Streaming of City Events
Public events and webinars of the city government are broadcast through the Official Quezon City Government website.
Release of Public Advisory
Official and important announcements such as traffic rerouting schemes, weather updates, and extensions of tax deadlines are released in a timely manner to help the public make informed decisions.
Programs
Sa Totoo Lang – 2020-2021
A webinar series led by the Quezon City government aims to educate the public on how all types of COVID-19 vaccines are needed to address the COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar also addresses myths and disinformation surrounding the pandemic.
Usapang QC – 2022
A webinar series led by the Quezon City government with the goal of effectively communicating the city government’s various programs and services to residents. It also aims to foster trust among residents and encourage their participation (i.e., enrollment to or availing of the said programs, compliance with policies, etc.)

Spotlight
The Department covered the Inauguration of Mayor Joy Belmonte last June 29, 2022.



The official newsletter and other information materials are distributed to encourage residents to avail of the various services and programs of the Quezon City government.


The City Government launched various communication campaigns to address the misconceptions and myths surrounding the pandemic, and help residents navigate through this difficult time. These include the ‘Why I Wear A Mask Campaign’ and ‘Sa Totoo Lang’ webinar series.





In the spirit of citizen empowerment and government transparency, all official events, press conferences, and program launches are documented and reported by the Public Affairs and Information Services Department.
