Description
The Department shall be responsible for the system development and the management of a Comprehensive Information Technology Master Plan which will serve as a guide for a harmonious operation of the operating departments such as, revenue generating processes, frontline services, technical information and planning data, infrastructure and engineering data, demographics and internal administrative systems

Database Management Division
Monitoring of In-House Production Databases
Monitor the status of the in-house production databases in the production server.
Provide Backup Measures and Security of in-House Production Databases
Create backup files of the in-house production databases located in the production servers.
Creation of User Account for In-House Developed Application Users
Create backup files of the in-house production databases located in the production servers.
Control of Data Services in Conformity with the Data Privacy Act
Review of the validity of requests and the information being requested. The approved request is then forwarded to the Database Management Division for the extraction of the data/information needed by the concerned head of the institution.
Network and Technical Maintenance Division
Technical Assistance and Support
Provide necessary technical assistance and support to various City Departments and Offices.

QC Data Network AccessInternet
Provide internet access. To provide access to the network, the assigned IT staff/technician verifies the client’s domain controller credentials. Provide internet access.
Data Network Services (Cable installation, Line Check)
Provide network installation and assistance.
Inspection of IT Equipment and Peripherals Delivery based on PO or Contract
IT inspectors inspect and verify if the delivered IT equipment and peripherals delivery based on PO or contract are correct. The inspector completes and secures a copy of the IT Equipment Inspection Report Form and gives the original copy to the corresponding contractor/suppliers.
IT Equipment and Software Recommendation
Provide the necessary specifications for proper equipment and software based on the nature of work or function of the requesting Department/Office.
Maintenance of IT Equipment
Provide necessary troubleshooting and maintenance work on an agreed-upon schedule.
Systems Development and Management Division
Application Systems Design and Development
Develop a comprehensive IT Master Plan and ensure that other computerization processes in the City Government are compatible with the plan. Provide parameters and guidelines in the design and development.
Application Systems Deployment
Assist on the development and installation of the City’s operating systems of departments in relation to the Comprehensive IT Master Plan.
Application Systems Support
Ensure that operating systems are properly functioning. Provide services and assistance to the needs of the departments. Conduct training for the user or personnel for the proper operation and management of the City’s automated system.
Project Research and Development Division
Formulation of Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP)
It is the City’s 3-year digital roadmap of prioritizing and integrating proposed IT projects by various city offices clustered according to function aimed to attain efficiency on the delivery of services to the City’s constituents and governance. It is also to technologically upkeep locally and globally with other cities for Smart Sustainable and Safe Cities Initiatives. Preparation is in collaboration with the national agency, the duplication of national IT projects. (Implemented through the Executive Order of the Local Executive).
Review of IT Related Proposals
ITDD as part of the administrative support services and a technical office for IT matters is also mandated to review and recommend IT-related project proposals submitted by solution provider/vendor to top management and individual city offices/departments. Evaluating and recommending proposed IT projects for system/infrastructure feasibility, interoperability with existing systems/infrastructure, and aligned with the city’s ISSP is one of its main goals, ITDD may demand presentations or Proof of Concepts (POC) of the proposals.

QUEZON CITY ANIMATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FAIR (2016-2019)

The QCITDD organized the first Quezon City Animation and IT Fair from 2016 to 2019 which helped the participants develop and advance their skills in digital drawing, 3D modeling, experimental animation, and other programs on Microsoft, digital photography, and online security. The event was conducted to further spread awareness of the Philippine Animation industry and the great opportunities ahead both in the Philippines and abroad.

SHARE THE LOVE FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE CUSTODY OF ECPAT (2020)

In celebration of Christmas in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, QCITDD conducted a donation drive to share the love through simple tokens with the children living under the custody of the End Child Prostitution in Asian Tourism (ECPAT).
