Light switch off for Earth 🌎

Daan-daang sumusuporta sa adbokasiyang pangalagaan ang mundo, ang nagtipon sa Earth Hour 2023 sa Quezon Memorial Circle. Pinangasiwaan ito ng World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) at Lungsod Quezon.

Kabilang sa mga ipinangako ni Mayor Joy Belmonte sa kanyang talumpati ang karagdagang bike lanes at bike parks sa lungsod. Kasabay nito ang paggamit ng solar energy sa government buildings. Tiniyak din niya ang pagpapatayo ng water fountains sa mga eskwelahan at parke upang maiwasan ang paggamit ng plastic bottles.

Nakiisa sa programa sina WWF-PH Executive Director Katherine Custodio, Earth Hour PH National Director Atty. Angela Ibay, Climate Change Comission Vice Chairperson and Executive Director Robert Borje, Majority Floor Leader Coun. Doray Delarmente at Coun. Vito Generoso. Kasama rin ang mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan.
