Who is eligible to apply for Scholarship?
To be eligible for scholarship, an applicant must be a Quezon City resident and enrolled, registered, or accepted in an educational institution recognized by either CHED, DepEd, or the city and not a scholar of another Local Government Unit.
How to become a scholar in the city?
To qualify as a scholar, you must first obtain a QCID. You can apply for this online or visit the QCID office at City Hall. Additionally, you must already be accepted by a school and have proof of enrollment. If you have not yet enrolled, a proof of acceptance will suffice. Be sure to prepare your grades from the previous year or semester.
Once you have your QCID and school acceptance, you can apply online through the QC E-Services portal if you have access to a device and the internet. Simply fill out the online application form and upload your documents. You will receive an email from QCYDO detailing the next steps and any additional supporting documents required.
If you do not have a device or internet access, you can visit the QCYDO at City Hall or any District offices.
What if I don’t have a QCitizen ID or My QCitizen ID’s approval is still pending, can I still apply for a scholarship?
To apply for the scholarship, you need to be a Quezon City resident with an approved and verified QCitizen ID.
In submitting an electronic copy of the QC ID, make sure the number of validity years is visible. You may check the status of your QCitizen ID through this link:https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcid_query_portal and if you have any concern regarding QCitizen ID, please send an email to helpdesk@quezoncity.gov.ph, qcidteam@quezoncity.gov.ph or contact them at QC Helpline 122.
What is QC Excel Scholarship?
This is the latest type of scholarship designed for exceptional applicants. It targets not only academically gifted individuals but also those who demonstrate leadership qualities and are actively involved in socio-civic initiatives. Applicants must show a commitment to public service, as they will participate in leadership training and volunteer activities. Additionally, their educational background is considered, with a requirement to be enrolled in courses that align with the developmental needs of the city, such as psychology, engineering, environmental science/management, economics, urban planning, information technology, and more.
Can I apply for two categories?
No, that is not allowed. You can only apply for one type or category of scholarship. However, you may switch categories as long as you meet the requirements for the category you wish to transfer to.
Is there an age limit to become a scholar?
The QC Scholarship Program is open to all students, regardless of their age.
Which grade levels are eligible to apply for the scholarship? Are Junior High School students allowed to apply?
Currently, the scholarship does not accept Junior High School students. It is available for Senior High School, College, and Vocational Course students.
Is it still possible to apply as a freshman or a graduating student?
Yes, applications are open to students at any year level and semester, as long as you meet the qualifications you are applying for.
If I applied for a scholarship during my Senior High, will I still be a scholar when I enter college?
You can continue your scholarship into college; however, you will need to reapply under the Tertiary Scholarship category, as it is a different category. Just ensure that you meet the qualifications for the application.
What if I am a resident of Quezon City but studying in another city, can I still apply for a scholarship?
Yes, you can still apply since you are a resident of the city, regardless of where your school is located. It is only necessary that your school is recognized by CHED, DepEd, or the city.
Can I apply for a scholarship if I am not a resident of Quezon City but am enrolled in a school located there?
It is required of the applicant to be a resident of Quezon City to be eligible for the scholarship program.
Can I become a scholar if I am studying at a private school?
The QC Scholarship Program accepts applicants from private schools, provided that the applicant meets the qualifications and conditions of the program.
Can I apply for a scholarship if I am already a scholar of a private organization?
You may apply for a city scholarship if your private organization scholarship permits it, and you meet the qualifications for the scholarship you are applying for.
I am a graduate of a public/private high school in our province and currently residing in Quezon City. Am I qualified to apply for a scholarship?
Yes, you are qualified. The classification of your scholarship subcategory will be subject to approval, provided that you meet the qualifications for the scholarship subcategory you are applying for.
I am a part of the Sangguniang Kabataan Council but my position is only appointed, can I apply for a scholarship?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for the Youth Leaders scholarship if you currently hold a position as a Sangguniang Kabataan/Supreme Student Council member or serve as president/vice president (or its equivalent) in a youth organization registered in Quezon City.
All of us are siblings in need of scholarships. Is it possible for all of us to be granted slots?
To ensure equal opportunities for each family, only one member per family can receive a scholarship. Once one member has completed their program, another family member may then apply.
Can I apply for a scholarship even if my organization is not registered in Quezon City?
You may apply for a scholarship under the Youth Leaders program if you are an official of the Sangguniang Kabataan, Supreme Student Government, or a Quezon City-registered Youth Organization. To register your organization, please visit this link.
How can I check the status of my scholarship application?
You will receive an email from QCYDO, and you can also visit your QC E-Services Dashboard for updates on your application. Additionally, you may call the QCYDO office for further assistance.
I have received my Certificate of Scholarship, what step do I need to take next?
Scholars currently enrolled in PUCs (Private Universities/Colleges) must submit their official Statement of Account (SOA) from their institutions to process their scholarship grants. If they have already submitted it during enlistment, they should wait for their grants to be processed. Meanwhile, scholars currently enrolled in SUCs (State Universities/Colleges) don’t need to submit SOA but should also wait for the processing of their scholarship grants.
What should I do if I encounter issues when submitting to QC E-Services?
Please clear the cache and refresh the QC E-Services page. If that does not resolve the issue, consider using a different device or browser.
What should I do if I cannot access the QC E-Services website using my Facebook account?
There seems to be an issue with the email address you registered. Please visit the QCID office for assistance in resolving your account issues.
Will the scholars receive grants on a monthly basis?
Tuition fee grants and stipends will be provided each semester for college students and once per academic year for Senior High School students.
When does the scholarship open?

SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL
When should I renew my scholarship?
Scholarship renewal is done before or after the school enrollment for the current semester. An announcement of scholarship renewal will be posted through our official Facebook page and an email will also be sent to your active email address.
The renewal schedule is posted but I haven’t been able to receive my scholarship grant in the previous semester, can I still proceed to renew for the current semester?
Yes, you must still renew the current semester while waiting for your scholarship grant in the previous semester so that you will continue to receive your scholarship grants.
Can I apply without an official registration form? What can I submit instead?
Yes, you may enlist at QC E-Services to renew once it’s open, temporarily we will accept any proof of enrollment such as Enrollment receipt, proof of acceptance, unofficial registration form/pre-assessment form, class schedule, school calendar, or announcements from your school regarding your enrollment schedule. Please remember that you will still need to submit your official registration form once you have enrolled.
What should I do to upgrade my scholarship subcategory from Economic to Academic Scholarship?
You may file an appeal to change your scholarship subcategory, provided that you meet all the qualifications of the new subcategory. Please note that all subcategory change requests are subject to evaluation and approval.
What are the reasons why a scholar would be required to submit an appeal form and what will be the process of filing?
Filing an appeal is only applicable for the scholars who failed to meet the qualifications for their category and subcategory. This is also the way of YDO to assess the scholar’s current academic welfare. You may download and upload it through the QC E-Services portal should your validator require you to submit.
I am planning to shift to another course, will it affect my scholarship?
Shifting to another course is allowed. However, the number of years/terms covered by the scholarship based on the scholar’s first scholarship application will be retained.
I am not planning to enroll next semester/school year due to various reasons. What should I do to keep my scholarship and still receive my grants once I enroll next semester/school year?
All scholars who will not enroll for one or two semesters will have to secure an approved Leave of Absence from their school or Notice of Non-enrollment and submit it to QCYDOSubmission@quezoncity.gov.ph.
What could be the reasons for the disapproval of my scholarship?
Your scholarship may be disapproved due to the following reasons such as non-fulfillment of qualifications and other requirements stated in the scholarship guidelines, forging, falsification, and misrepresentation, failure to meet deadlines set by QCYDO and other relevant offices, and other causes determined by QCYDO, as approved by the Scholarship Screening Committee (SSC).
What is the reason for the delay in the release of scholarship grants?
In addition to the thousands of applicants for the program, there may be missing or incorrect documents submitted. It is also possible that some messages or instructions from QCYDO were not read promptly. The QCYDO and Accounting Office are carefully verifying the accuracy of the documents and information you have submitted.
