What is the Financial Subsidy for Solo Parents?
The Financial Subsidy refers to the monthly amount of One Thousand Pesos (PHP 1,000) provided to qualified solo parents who had undergone assessment. This benefit is granted by Republic Act No. 11861, as part of the additional support extended to solo parents under the law.
Who may apply?
QUALIFICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL SUBSIDY:
- The Solo Parent is receiving a minimum wage or below the minimum daily wage.
- The Solo Parent or her/his dependents are not receiving any pension.
- The solo parent is not receiving any cash subsidy from the National and Local governments ex. 4P’s beneficiary, recipient Tindahan ni Ate Joy and Pangkabuhayan QC.
PRIORITY:
- Adolescent solo parent ( 19 years old and below)
- A solo parent is a victim of violence or abuse
- A solo parent works in the informal economy
- A solo parent under the category of Spouse with Disability or child with disability
- Solo parent with 2 or more dependents
- Pregnant Solo parent
Note: A Solo Parent who is a senior citizen or Person with Disability (PWD) may continue receiving senior citizen or PWD benefits without forfeiting the benefits of this act.
What are the requirements to receive a financial subsidy?
- Copy of Solo Parent Identification Card (SPIC)
- Copy of QC ID
- Any of the following proof of indigency:
- Affidavit of no employment (for unemployed)
- Income Tax Return (ITR) or similar tax returns (for employed)
- Social case study issued by the C/MSWDO
- Any verifiable proof of income or Barangay Certificate of Indigency (for those who work in the informal sector)
Where to apply?
You can apply at 4th Floor, Building E, Social Services Development Department, Quezon City Hall and look for the assigned staff in your respective district.
How much will the beneficiary receive?
The Solo Parent will receive PHP 1,000.00 monthly subsidy from the Quezon City Government for one (1) year and will be subject to evaluation after the application for renewal.
