Mayor Joy Belmonte shared how Quezon City addresses urbanization challenges, intensified by the climate crisis, during the Female Leaders Driving Urban Innovation discussion at the World Cities Summit in Singapore.

The mayor explained how the City’s Urban Farming program builds climate resilience for the communities, and provides livelihood that is inclusive and sustainable.

She also participated in the panel discussion together with Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka and Skopje, North Macedonia Mayor Danela Arsovska.

Mayor Joy, together with Local Economic Investment and Promotions Office (LEIPO) Chief Jay Gatmaitan and Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD) Education Division Chief Lea Siy Gaon, is currently in Singapore to attend the World Cities Summit.
