Dumalo si Mayor Joy Belmonte sa idinaos na Free to be U – Festival of LUV na pinangasiwaan ng EpiC-HIV Philippines na ginanap sa Pop Up Katipunan, QC.

Sa talumpati ng Alkalde, binigyang-diin niya na itutuloy ng lokal na pamahalaan ang advocacy nito para mawakasan ang stigma ng diskriminasyon laban sa LGBTQIA+ communities. Ipinangako rin ni Mayor Joy na ngayong taon ay muling gaganapin sa QC ang pinakamalaking pride festival.

Kasama rin ni Mayor Joy sina EpiC Project Philippines Project Director Teresita Bagasao, Department of Health – Health Promotion Bureau OIC Rodley Carza, Organic Intelligence Director Dr. Jayson Ligot, at mga kinatawan ng iba-ibang LGBTQIA+ communities.

Nagbigay naman ng libreng HIV testing at counseling ang Quezon City Health Department.
