QC IS EARTH-FRIENDLY! 
Nagsilbing guest of honor si Mayor Joy Belmonte sa idinaos na Global Environment Forum for University Students in the Philippines 2023 na pinangasiwaan ng DAEJAYON sa Novotel Manila ngayong araw.
Ang DAEJAYON (Great Nature) ay isang international organization na binubuo ng mga college students mula sa iba-ibang parte ng mundo.
Layon nito na isulong ang pagtugon sa climate change at imulat ang college environmental leaders.
Ibinahagi ni Mayor Joy ang iba-ibang programa ng Lungsod Quezon para mapangalagaan ang kalikasan. Kabilang dito ang plastic ban ordinance, biodigesters sa mga barangay, urban farms, trash to cash back program, solarization ng city-owned buildings, pagsunod sa Green Building Code, drainage masterplan, pagpapalawak ng parks at open spaces, QC Green Awards, at Green Schools Program.
Lumagda rin ang Alkalde at si DAEJAYON Vice President Jae Kyun Kim ng MOU para sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan ng lungsod at DAEJAYON.
Kasama ng Alkalde sa programa sina Councilor Vito Sotto Generoso, Assistant City Administrator for General Affairs Atty. Rene Grapilon, UNOPS Country Manager Oscar Mirenco, UNDP Climate Action Team Leader Floradema Eleazar, University of the Philippines Dean Dr. Rico Ancog, at Waves for Waters Philippines Country Director Jenica Dizon.
