A total of 321 new graduates received their certificates at the 142nd Manpower Barangay Based Skills Training Program (MBBSTP) Mass Graduation Ceremony held on September 26 at the Quezon City Hall Lobby. The program is spearheaded by the Social Services Development Department (SSDD) - Vocational Development Division.
The graduates are the products of the 3-month vocational program who took up training in the TESDA-accredited courses that included Housekeeping, Hilot and Wellness, Food and Beverages Services, Bread and Pastry Production, Dressmaking, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Cosmetology, Home Care Provider, and Productivity Skills and Capacity Building (PSCB) Training.
The program is expected to expand the opportunity for people to gain skills and enhance their employability, competitiveness, efficiency and productivity in the labor market.
The program is free and open to Quezon City residents. Classes are held in their barangays while the trainers/facilitators/proctors are provided by the Social Services Development Department.
The batch of graduates came from 14 barangays of the city.
