Women entrepreneurs in Quezon City can now have access to equipment that can be used for their own businesses and livelihood through the “Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project’’, a project of the Quezon City Government, initiated by Rep. Alfred Vargas in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Samahan ng mga Pilipina para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran (SPARK).

Aside from equipment, women entrepreneurs will also receive free training, product development and other technical assistance through the SSF Project.

The SSF aims to increase the women entrepreneurs’ productivity, enabling them to accept bulk orders and eventually sell their products to new markets which is expected to boost their income.

In Barangay Lagro, women micro-entrepreneurs were given twenty sewing machines including edging machines, round cloth cutting machine, walking foot machines, and embroidery sewing machines among others.
