Bilang tanda ng pag-alala sa 6 million Jews na nasawi sa Holocaust noong Second World War, ginunita ng Department of Education at Embassy of the State of Israel in the Philippines ang International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Nanguna sa commemoration ceremony sina Vice President and Deped Secretary Sara Duterte at Israel Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Ilan Fluss.
Matatandaan na kabilang ang Pilipinas sa mga bansa na tumulong sa mga Jewish refugee sa ilalim ni dating Pangulong Manuel Quezon.
Nakiisa sa programa sina Mayor Joy Belmonte, United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator Mr. Gustavo Gonzàlez, Department of Foreign Affairs Asec. Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, at Jewish Community President Mr. Salito Malca.
