Robert Labayen of ABS-CBN, lyricist of hit songs like “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas” and “Bro, Ikaw Ang Star ng Pasko,” demonstrated the power of music to create a feeling of unity and give Filipinos a sense of pride despite their daily struggles.
