Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte on Wednesday has met with National Federation for Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) Founder Loida Nicolas Lewis at The Harvard Club in New York.
Lewis is one of the pillars of the Filipino-American community in the United States, as she is the first Filipina lawyer to pass the New York State Bar. She is also the CEO and Chairwoman of TLC Beatrice International, a major American food processing company.
Mayor Belmonte received a signed copy of Lewis’ “Why Should Guys Have All the Fun?” book.
Joining Mayor Joy in the meeting are Spark! Philippines Executive Director and delegate to the SDG Summit on Gender Equality Maica Teves, Coun. Joseph Juico, and Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD) Head Andrea Villaroman.
