Mayor Joy Belmonte met with C40 Cities Executive Director Mark Watts to discuss possible partnerships and potential programs under C40 Cities.

C40 Cities is a network of over 100 world leading cities working together to mitigate the effects of climate change and promote climate justice. QC is one of its active members since 2015.

Mayor Joy, together with Coun. Aly Medalla, Coun. Bernard Herrera, and representatives from the QC Health Department (QCHD) and the Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD), are attending the Partnership for Healthy Cities summit in London, United Kingdom, to further enhance Quezon City’s strategies to combat and address the problem of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and injuries.
