Ibinahagi ng mga bagong halal na Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons mula sa 142 QC Barangays ang kanilang mga adbokasiya at programang nais nilang tuparin sa inorganisang meet and greet ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Katuwang ng DILG – Quezon City ang Barangay and Community Relations Department (BCRD) na nagpaliwanag sa mga SK officials upang maging maayos ang transition ng mga outgoing at newly-elected SK chairs mula sa anim na distrito ng lungsod.

Para kay Mayor Joy Belmonte napakahalaga ng mungkahi ng youth sector at mga SK officials sa pagbalangkas ng mga batas at mga polisiya sa QC. Hinimok din ng alkalde na maging “agent of change” ang mga SK at gumawa ng mga bagong proyekto at programang tutularan ng iba pang mga youth leaders sa bansa.

Magkakaroon din ng mandatory training ang mga SK chairpersons na pangangasiwaan ng QC Youth Development Office (QCYDO) at DILG upang gabayan sila sa kanilang paglilingkod.

Dumalo rin sa programa sina District 5 Rep. PM Vargas, District 6 Rep. Marivic Co-Pilar, Majority Floor Leader Doray Delarmente, Councilor Chuckie Antonio, Councilor Mara Suntay, Councilor Anton Reyes, SK President Coun. Julian Trono, Chief of Staff Rowena Macatao, Secretary Ricardo T. Belmonte Jr., BCRD head Ricky Corpuz, QCYDO head Dr. Eddilyn DC. Dividina, District 5 Action Officer William Bawag, at DILG-QC City Director Manny Borromeo.
