Bilang paghahanda sa El Niño phenomenon sa susunod na taon, nakipagkasundo ang Quezon City Government sa Maynilad para sa paggamit ng treated wastewater sa mga cleaning at maintenance activity sa mga parke.

Ang treated wastewater na nakolekta sa mga residente ay gagamitin ng QC bilang pandilig sa mga halaman sa parke, panglinis sa mga open space, at pang-apula sa apoy sakaling magkasunog.

Paraan din ito upang mabawasan ang paggamit ng potable o malinis na tubig.

Mismong sina Mayor Joy Belmonte at Maynilad Water Services Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Ramoncito Fernandez ang lumagda sa memorandum of agreement, kasama sina Assistant City Administrator Alberto Kimpo at Maynilad Corporate Affairs and Communications Head.
