Need to Know: Created by Florante Caedo in 1965, the memorial commemorates the members of the ill-fated Philippine contingent to the 11th World Scout Jamboree who were among the casualties of the United Arab Airlines Flight 869 crash of 1963. The 24-member Philippine delegation included  22 Boy Scouts, 2 veteran Scouters, and 2 chaperons. The structure also honors Tomas Morato, the first mayor of Quezon City, after whom T. Morato Avenue is named.
