Need to Know: Formerly called “gulod”, the site came to be known as “Krus na Ligas”. During the 1896 revolution, Andres Bonifacio and his men retreated to the chapel of Krus na Ligas.
A small chapel was built to memorialize the sighting of a tree locally known as “ligas” that was said to have miraculously formed a crucifix.
