Need to Know: ”Known as “Ina ng Katipunan” at “Ina ng Rebolusyong Pilipino”, Tandang Sora was born on January 6, 1812 and supported the Philippine Revolution at the age of 84. She nursed wounded Katipuneros and provided them food and shelter.
Designed by sculptor Toym Imao, son of National Artist on Visual Arts, Abdulmari Asia Imao, the National Shrine marks the birthplace and final resting place of Melchora “Tandang Sora” Aquino.
