Need to Know: The Quezon City Public Library Lagro library was awarded the 2021 top-performing public library in the Philippines by the National Library of the Philippines and the Asia Foundation, in recognition of its outstanding performance for having 14,884 clients (physical and online users) in 2021. The library conceptualized a costumed Super Book duo and friends named Super BookMan and Super BookGirl to attract the children to visit the library. This duo performs during storytelling sessions, library orientations, and other special library activities and events.
The Quezon City Public Library Lagro Branch was established on January 7, 1991 in a one-story building. Today, it is housed on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey multi-purpose building. Currently, the QCPL Lagro library has 7 library staff servicing student clients from Lagro Elementary School and Lagro High School.
