Need to Know: The original sculpture was created by National Artist for Sculpture Guillermo Tolentino, with Anastacio Caedo as the model for physique and Virgilio Raymundo for proportion and height. In 1958, the three-and-a-half-meter tall concrete statue was reproduced in bronze in Italy, under the supervision of Tolentino, and installed at the Oblation Plaza in UP Diliman.
