The Quezon City Government, through the QC Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (SBCDPO), in partnership with SPARK! Philippines, and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State has launched the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), which aims to equip women entrepreneurs with knowledge and skills.
Under the program, participating QC-based women entrepreneurs, including POP QC members and small business owners, undergo virtual and in-person training and seminars, and gain access to various networks to promote and expand their businesses.
After finishing the program, women are expected to be able to lead and advise other female entrepreneurs.
As of February 2026, the program had 62 graduates, including 37 from the first batch and 25 from the second.
This initiative is part of the city’s efforts to empower women entrepreneurs and support their business growth.
