The Quezon City Government, through the General Services Department (GSD), Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS)– Green Transport Division, and the City Engineering Department (QCDE), has constructed the End-of-trip (EoT) shower facility for cyclists and bike-to-work employees, located at the roof deck of the Quezon City Hall’s multi-level parking building.
Built with 5 shower rooms with heaters and spacious changing areas that allow users to change their clothes comfortably, the facility allows cyclists to freshen up after biking to work. It also has bike racks that ensure a safe, organized area for bicycle parking.
Bikers who wish to use the facility are only required to bring their own personal toiletries.
Along with the distribution of bikes as part of the city’s campaigns such as QC Cycle to End Violence Against Women (VAW), organization of Bikers monthly kapehan session, provision of free bike lessons to QCitizens, expansion of QC bike lane network, and installation of bike ramps on footbridges for the cyclists’ convenience, this initiative is part of the local government’s efforts in promoting a safe, sustainable, and bike-friendly workplace environment.
To learn more about the End-of-trip (EoT) Shower Facility and other bike-related programs, please reach out to QC DPOS or dial Helpline 122. In accessing the facility, kindly coordinate with the QCGSD. Interested QCitizens may also read Bike Safety Tips for QCitizens.
